Deep Tissue / Therapeutic

Deep tissue massage uses many of the same stroking and kneading movements as Swedish massage, but there’s far more pressure.

This type of massage facilitates healing by releasing contracted areas of muscle and tissue. It can help increase blood flow to the soft tissues and may help to reduce inflammation.

Swedish / Relaxation

Swedish massage is one of the most commonly offered massage techniques. It’s sometimes called a classic massage. The technique aims to promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension.

Swedish massage is gentler than deep tissue massage and better suited for people interested in relaxation and tension relief.

Cupping

Cupping involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. Cupping allows for myofascial work by suction and separation of the tissue.

This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

TMJ Massage

Temporomandibular joint disorders, more commonly known as TMJ, are usually the result of tight and painful chewing muscles around your jaw. The cause for this chronic condition is relatively subjective, but may be linked to tooth grinding or tooth clenching related to stress.
Luckily, a TMJ massage can act as an effective, non-medicinal way to deal with TMJ pain.

This service is a part of any massage treatment, please ask prior to the massage if you would like to include it.

Hagina Japanese Mint Oil

Original Japanese Mint Oil is a pure, natural product that has a deep heating and penetrating effect on muscle tissue. Steam distillation of this flowering plant releases its cool and minty fragrance, providing you with a scent that revitalizes your mind, body, and spirit.

This service is free with any massage treatment, please ask prior to the massage if you would like to include it.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapy helps release tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism for tissue repair.
It is also deeply relaxing to help calm the mind.

The stones are made from basalt, which is a volcanic rock. Basalt stones retain heat very well. The temperature of the stones are monitored throughout but also held directly in my hands so that they maintain a safe temperature.
