Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is available with Julie Ringuette RMT (Level 1) and can be booked online through our website.
Level 1 does not treat compromised lymphatic systems at this time. Ex: Lymphedema, Lymph-node damage/removal, swelling due to heart failure, bacterial infections, malignant tumors, acute thrombosis, and acute phlebitis are contraindicated for MLD. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a modality aimed to help lymph flow in the body. This treatment differs from regular massage in that it is very light pressure, and aimed at moving lymphatic fluid throughout the body, not working on the muscle tissue. The goal is to mobilize the fluid, reducing inflammatory mediators, and congestion. This treatment is not painful. |
