Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization is a massage technique that uses ProSTM tools to effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue. The use of the ProSTM tools allows for controlled and precise treatment to affected dysfunctional tissue. Controlled microtrauma stimulates an inflammatory response, increasing fibroblast production, collagen synthesis, maturation and remodeling of the collagen fiber matrix following IASTM application. |

IASTM is more comfortable with clients that can tolerate a medium to deep pressure. Similarly to cupping therapy, some redness in the skin can be expected as a part of the healing process.
